Luisa Parrado
Hi! My work focuses on Potato Early Die (Pratylenchus penetrans + Verticillium dahliae), which causes potato yield losses of up to 50%. I am working on identifying beneficial microbial communities within compost/manures that have an antagonistic effect for further enhancement and optimization of these soil amendments. These soil amendments will be combined with biocontrol agents commercially available and its potential will be evaluated. My long-term goal is to provide growers an organic strategy to manage this disease.
