Manistique Baseball, Softball and T-Ball 4-H Club Information

Registration for the 2025 season will run March 1-31, 2025

Manistique’s softball and baseball (including T-ball) teams are part of the Schoolcraft County 4-H program and are managed by a board of adult 4-H volunteers. Registration for the 2025 season will be open from March 1-31, 2025, with no player enrollments accepted after March 31. The program is open to youth who are at least 5 years old as of January 1, 2025, through those entering 9th grade in the fall. The participation fee is $55 for baseball and softball players and $35 for T-ball players. Families will only need to pay fees for the first two players in their household. Registration and payment instructions are outlined below.

Season Schedule

- Baseball & Softball: Official games start the week of May 19 and run through late June. If fields dry early, practices may begin in mid-April, with possible scrimmages before the season starts. Teams will primarily compete against Munising, Newberry, and Garden teams.
- T-ball: Practices are expected to begin the week of May 19, with games held on Saturdays in June. Most games will be in Manistique, with the possibility of one or two in Garden.

Player Gear

Each player will receive a team jersey and hat. Families must provide gray pants for baseball/softball players in the minors, majors, and juniors levels. A bin of pants from previous seasons will be available outside the Extension Office for free. T-ball players may wear any pants or shorts of their choice.

Registration & Payment

An in-person registration and payment session will be held Thursday, March 20, from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Schoolcraft County MSU Extension Office (next to Manistique Middle & High School, past the library entrance).

Step 1: Register Online

- Previous 4-H Members (not currently enrolled): Log in, select "Enroll Now," next to the player's name and follow prompts. Add "Manistique 4-H Baseball & Softball Club" to the member’s profile and select the appropriate "project" (baseball, softball, umpire, T-ball, Teen Mentor).
- New 4-H Members: Create an account, select "Schoolcraft" as the county (even if residing in a different county), complete enrollment questions. Then add "Manistique 4-H Baseball & Softball Club" to the member’s profile, and select the appropriate "project" (baseball, softball, umpire, T-ball, Teen Mentor).

Step 2: Submit Payment & Shirt Size
