Zhengliang Yang is a fourth-year Ph.D. student in the Agricultural, Food, and Resource Economics (AFRE) Department at Michigan State University. Before joining MSU, he earned an M.S. in Economics from KU Leuven (Belgium) and an M.S. in Applied Economics from the University of Idaho. His research focuses on agricultural economics, food marketing, and agribusiness, with a particular interest in integrating data management and data mining with artificial intelligence and machine learning. In his free time, he enjoys reading, cooking, and playing football.
His job market paper examines how different video designs influence consumer choices regarding animal welfare–labeled eggs. His other working papers apply data mining methods—from text analysis to visual data—to explore their applications in agricultural economics and food marketing.
