Nahian Bin Khaled is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Agricultural, Food and Resource Economics (AFRE) at Michigan State University. His research explores critical development issues, including technology adoption, social networks, food security, poverty, and agricultural value chains in developing countries such as Bangladesh, Tanzania, Nigeria, and Kenya. His work combines rigorous causal inference with field-based experience and institutional collaborations, and he has co-authored research published in leading field journals. Before beginning his doctoral studies, he worked for three and a half years at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) and Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) in Bangladesh. He is currently on the 2025–26 academic job market.
