Kai N Gritter
Kai has been an Extension Educator at Michigan State University Extension since October 2019. She has a Master of Science in Health Education and over a decade of public health experience. Prior to joining MSU Extension, she worked as an Adjunct Professor, teaching Healthy Aging to Saginaw Valley State University students. She also worked in School-Based Health Centers, promoting healthy behaviors and empowering students to educate their peers.
Kai is certified as a Mental Health First Aid Instructor and is trained to facilitate social and emotional learning programs that promote healthy communication, problem-solving, and stress-management skills. She also serves as Program Coordinator and is Co-Principal Investigator for the USDA grant-funded SNAP Outreach for Veterans program, which addresses food insecurity.
Kai is currently serving as the Interim District 13 Director, supporting staff and communities within the seven Southwest Michigan counties - Berrien, Branch, Calhoun, Cass, Kalamazoo, St. Joseph, and Van Buren.
