Heather Bair-Brake
Dr. Heather Brake is a veterinarian who is board-certified in Veterinary Preventive Medicine. She currently works at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the National Center for Environmental Health and the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry. She is pursuing her PhD in Comparative Medicine and Integrative Biology through the MSU College of Veterinary Medicine. Her dissertation project centers around an Exposure Assessment and Health Study of companion animals living in two communities with known PFAS contamination. She plans change careers to an academic setting upon finishing her commitment to the US Public Health Service.
