Feola is an environmental social scientist whose research focuses on the interconnections of social and environmental change. His research engages with issues of sustainability, resilience and transformation of agri-food systems, alternative economies and grassroots innovations for sustainability, social change theory and sustainability.
He was awarded the CHANS Fellowship in 2012 for "promising contribution to the field of Coupled Human and Natural Systems" (CHANS).
