Background:
Corbin is originally from Livonia, Michigan. In 2021, he received his B.S. in Film Production from Full Sail University, and in 2024, he received his second B.S. in Fisheries & Wildlife from Michigan State University. As an undergraduate at Michigan State, he participated in the Glassen Undergraduate Research Experience, worked as a Horticultural Assistant, and conducted research on the funding priorities of community foundations in the northern forest region, with an emphasis on recreation. During the summer of 2023, he participated in a study abroad program through Michigan State University in South Africa, where he studied real-world management practices for the Big Five South African game animals.
He is now pursuing his M.S. in Fisheries & Wildlife under the advisement of Emily Pomeranz and in partnership with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. His research aims to understand hunters’ motivations towards harvesting antlerless deer, identifying key barriers they face when targeting these deer, and assessing motivating factors private landowners have towards providing access to hunting on their properties.
Corbin also enjoys reading historical and other genre fiction books, film and wildlife photography, golfing, hiking, and the Philadelphia Eagles (go birds).
