Packaging Scholarship Application Information

The 2024-2025 Packaging Scholarship form is now closed! Stay tuned for updates on this year's winners!

Packaging students received over $130,000 in scholarships during the 2023-2024 school year! Multiple Scholarships are available through the School of Packaging and eligibility varies. You may apply for more than one scholarship with this single application. Apply only for scholarships for which you are eligible. Award amounts may vary among scholarships, semesters and years. This application is kept on file for the entire academic year.

Scholarships are based on many factors including: academic scholarship, community involvement, packaging study abroad, merit and financial need, so all students are encouraged to apply. You must be an undergraduate or graduate student in the School of Packaging with good academic standing and enrolled for the coming Fall 2024 and/or spring 2025.

The deadline for the 2024-2025 Scholarship Application was September 29th, 2024 by 11:59pm. Please follow submission instructions on the application.

NO LATE APPLICATIONS ARE ACCEPTED, NO EXCEPTIONS

Preparation
You will be asked to provide dollar amounts of financial aid.
You must submit supporting documentation (described below) as a separate file(s). 

General Scholarship Application Essay

Submit a 800-900 word essay (PDF FORMAT) with your name in the top right corner of each page and must include a title page.

Title Essay: (LastName_FirstName_Year.pdf) for an example (Spartan_Sparty_GR.pdf) Freshmen: FR, Sophomore: SO, Junior: JR, Senior: SR, Graduate Student: GR​​

Prompt: Select three companies from different industries within Packaging that you would like to work with in the future. 
For an example: Pepsi (Food), Tesla (Auto), L'Oréal (Cosmetics)
  • Include the company name, why you are interested in that company, what motivates you to want to work with the company based on their efforts in sustainability, DEI, brand development, innovation and industry involvement.
  • How will you use your understanding and knowledge of the packaging industry to advance the profession? 
  • What skills are critical to Packaging Professionals in the future?
Sources: Must include 3-5 sources which may include secondary research, discussions with recognized senior level packaging professionals, academic articles, reports, interviews, newspaper articles, news websites, books, etc.
