Simple Vegetable Garden Plans
Reminiscent of the "Victory Gardens" planted during World War I and World War II and designed for the Grand Traverse region by our Master Gardener Coordinator, Nate Walton, these plans can be used by both beginners and experienced gardeners. The plants suggested have been specially selected to not only feed your family, but also can be donated to food pantries to fill the anticipated need for “staples” - fresh vegetables most likely to be used and that can store better if they are not used right away.

2024 Landlord Tenant Guide
Written and developed by the Housing Justice Clinic at the Michigan State University College of Law. The Housing Justice Clinic advances the cause of safe, decent, sanitary, fair, open, and affordable housing in mid-Michigan. Students deal with all aspects of the landlord-tenant relationship, including educating residents on their basic rights, working with tenants who are on the brink of eviction, assisting renters who are living in unsafe conditions, and connecting people with community resources.
The 2024 Landlord Tenant Guide was created to help tenants navigate their rights and responsibilities under the applicable federal and state laws, including the Michigan Landlord-Tenant Act of 1972 and the Michigan Truth in Renting Act of 1978. The guide serves as a useful reference for a variety of matters, including, but not limited to, mediation, repairs and maintenance, and additional concerns, including civil rights, LGBTQIA+ protections, potential legal reforms, and other laws that may affect leases.
