How to Schedule an Appointment with Your Advisor

Current SPDC students can schedule advising appointments online following the instructions below:  

  1. Login to the Student Information System website: https://student.msu.edu 

 

2. Follow these navigation steps: 

  • Student Homepage > Academic Progress > Advising/Tutoring Appointments 

 

3. Select “College of Agriculture and Natural Resources Advising” as the advising unit 

 

4. Select one of the following appointment reasons from the drop-down menu: 

  • Pre-Admission Students (those who have not yet been admitted to the upper division of their SPDC program):  
    • 0942 – Const. Mgmt. (Pre-Admit) 
    • 0940 – Int. Design (Pre-Admit)  
    • 0944 – Lands. Arch. (Pre-Admit)  
    • 0946 – Urban&Reg Plng (Pre-Admit) 

 

  • Admitted Students (those who have already been admitted to the upper division of their SPDC program):  
    • 0941 – Const. Mgmt. (Admitted) 
    • 0939 – Int. Design (Admitted)  
    • 0943 – Lands. Arch. (Admitted)  
    • 0945 – Urban&Reg Plng (Admitted) 

 

5. Select the appointment type: 

  • Zoom and in-person appointments are available 

 

6. Select your advisor: 

  • Marcus Martin for pre-admission students 
  • Hannah Brodhead for admitted students 

 

7. Select the day and time and follow the final prompts to book your appointment

Appointments are posted three weeks in advance. If you experience technical issues (e.g., authentication, logging in, browser issues, system errors), you should contact the MSU IT Service Desk

 

Appointments are not posted during the summer semesters. If you have questions you’re your advisor during the summer semester, reach out directly to your academic advisor via email.
