About the Program
The Irrigation Association has created a program that focuses on providing irrigation students (E3 learners) with exposure, experience, and education that revolves around the irrigation industry. We believe that the "three e's" are the best way to actively engage the next generation of irrigators. Irrigation E3 learners will receive an education and travel award to attend the 2025 Irrigation Show and Education Week to be held Dec.8-11 in New Orleans! The E3 program is designed to enhance learning, explore career opportunities, and build valuable professional connections.
To ensure you get the most out of the E3 experience, all students are expected to attend at least two education classes during the week and actively participate in scheduled events with program sponsors.

Your application must include a resume
You must have an instructor reference. Provide their name, email, title, and organization. Your reference will receive an email from SmarterSelect with instructions to submit a letter on your behalf. Both your information and the reference letter must be submitted by September 23, 2025

Requirements

Students must have expressed an interest in an irrigation-related career path
Students must be enrolled (undergraduate or graduate) at a North American community college, technical or vocational school, or university
Students must have taken or are currently enrolled in a class with an emphasis on irrigation
Students have not been selected in prior years as an E3 student
Students must have a graduation date of Dec. 2025 or later
