Sustainable Site Practices & Invasive Species Management Workshop
For landscape professionals seeking recertification credits.
Michigan State University Extension and the Michigan Nursery & Landscape Association (MNLA) will offer a Sustainable Site Practices & Invasive Species Management Workshop for landscape professionals seeking recertification credits.
This 1.5-day professional training is designed for landscape industry professionals seeking practical, field-ready strategies for managing invasive plants and insects, navigating evolving regulatory requirements, and integrating sustainable site practices. Participants will gain up-to-date insights from state and local experts, engage in hands-on training with application equipment and invasive species ID/control, and explore real-world alternatives for turf management, pollinator protection and stormwater site design.

Day 1: Wednesday, October 22: 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Day 2: Thursday, October 23: 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Recertification Credits
The course offers 8 MDARD recertification credits on Day 1 and 4 credits on Day 2. Categories covered include: 2, 3A. 3B, 5, 6, Comm CORE, Priv CORE.
Cost and Registration
Day 1 (all day, includes lunch)
MNLA member: $99, Non-member: $135
Day 2 (half day, no lunch)
