Registration open for the Crop and Pest Management Update for Field Crops in Frankenmuth, February 7

Participants will hear presentations on pest and crops updates, plus receive a complimentary 2025 Weed Control Guide for Field Crops.

Michigan State University Extension will be hosting a Crop and Pest Management Update for Field Crops at the Michigan State University (MSU) Saginaw Valley Research and Education Center in Frankenmuth, Michigan, on Friday, Feb. 7, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The research center is located at 3775 S. Reese Rd, Frankenmuth, MI 48734. The $40 registration fee includes lunch and a 2025 Weed Control Guide for Field Crops. Registration is required. Early registration will close on Wednesday, Feb. 6. Please register early to ensure adequate food or to request special accommodation.

The 2025 Weed Control Guide for Field Crops is provided compliments of the Corn Marketing Program of Michigan, the Michigan Soybean Committee and the Michigan Wheat Program. Regional Crop and Pest Management meetings are held annually by Michigan State University Extension and the field crop teams to bring you the most recent research findings and recommendations for the new crop year.  

This is your chance to interact with multiple MSU Extension specialists. The specialists speaking this year cover a wide array of topics. Erin Burns and Christy Sprague will present weed control management strategies and resources, plus Bulletins Live! Two. Manni Singh will present agronomic management strategies. Kim Cassida will have a forages and cover crop presentation. Kurt Steinke will present soil fertility research. And Laurel Harduar Morano will present respirator information. 

Professional credits for this program are as follows: Four restricted use pesticide (RUP) credits (Private Core; Com. Core; or 1A) and certified crop adviser (CCA): 1 Nutrient; 1.5 IPM; 1.5 Crop Mngt; and 0.5 Prof Develop.
