CANR honors departments, units with CAB badges

The College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR) and Office of Culture, Access and Belonging (OCAB) will honor the 2025 Culture, Access and Belonging Badge Award recipients at the CANR Faculty and Staff Awards reception on May 8.
Each year, CAB efforts in the CANR and MSU Extension are gathered and shared with CANR OCAB and CANR DEI Committee members. These efforts are then scored and grouped into categories, with platinum being the highest level of achievement. Learn more about the CAB Badge Project and process.
The CAB Badge Project aims to highlight the amazing work each department, school and unit is doing to contribute to lasting culture, access and belonging. The criteria taken into consideration aligns with the five core areas established by the DEI Strategic Plan put forth by the DEI committee. The core areas are as follows:
- Culture and climate
- Leadership
- Recruiting, hiring and retention
- Employee training and professional development
- Teaching, outreach, research and service
