Bethpage State Park has five – 18 Hole courses that host hundreds of thousands of golfers each year. Bethpage Black is one of the unique courses in the world having hosted the Ryder Cup, PGA Championship and US Open. The Black Course is the future host site of the 2028 KPMG and 2033 PGA Championship. Bethpage is a unique, fast paced environment that will reward interns with practical skills that will provide a strong foundation for a career in turf management. We will tailor your internship to your skill set to improve your competence and confidence with the goal to provide excellent daily conditions for our golfers. For the 2026 season we will host the New York State Open, AJGA RLX Junior Classic, as well as multiple College and High School Championships. In addition to the core maintenance practices needed to maintain and prepare our courses interns are also trained to spray fairways, tees and greens, assist with irrigation repair. If weather conditions allow, Bethpage also takes on our own construction projects. Assisting in bunker and tee renovation/construction is always a possibility. Interns will also have opportunities to volunteer at other Professional tournaments. New housing onsite offers great convenience, very close to Farmingdale Village and other amenities.
Applicants should be students who are ambitious, diligent and have a desire to become part of a crew with high standards. Interns will receive approximately $19-$22 per hour DOE. A typical work week is roughly 50-65 hours with overtime being paid for all hours over 40. Internships are available from late January 2026 through December 2026.
