MLFCN September Monthly Meeting

Join the Michigan Local Food Council Network for our monthly phone/video conference, featuring topics and speakers relevant to the work of councils across the state. We will share federal and state legislative updates and include time to discuss offers, requests and connections among councils. 
 

Please join us for the next MLFCN network call where the Michigan League for Public Policy will present Using Data to Advocate for Child & Family Wellbeing. This presentation will review the 2024 Michigan Kids Count data release, which evaluates the well-being of children and families in Michigan and explores policy and advocacy opportunities to improve outcomes. MLPP will focus on trends from 2017-2022 in child well-being across early childhood, health, education, economic security, and family & community factors and address how policy changes during this time impacted the lives of kids in Michigan.

The call will also include state and federal legislative updates and conclude with offers, requests, and connections. Please let Keesa (johns253@msu.edu), Kolia (ksouza@msu.edu) or Jordan (lindsa57@msu.edu) know if there are topics you want to discuss on future calls.
