2025 Learning Exchange Series: Addressing uncertainties in additionality for forest carbon offsets
February 25, 2025 2:00PM - 3:00PM
Zoom Webinar
The 2025 Learning Exchange Series on forest carbon offsets, co-hosted by the Michigan State University Forest Carbon & Climate Program, Pennsylvania State University FOCCE Program, and the Society of American Foresters aims to bring leading experts in the forest carbon space together to not only identify major questions, barriers, and gaps surrounding carbon offsets and natural climate solutions, but to also work to solve the pressing issues of the field.
The LES’ paneled-webinar style talks encourage dialogue between thought leaders of diverse backgrounds to advance research priorities and identify paths forward.
The second panel webinar: "Addressing uncertainties in additionality for forest carbon offsets " will feature Lilli Kaarakka (Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo), Marga Fernandez (Pennsylvania State University), and Greg Latta (University of Idaho) moderator by Adam Daigneault (University of Maine) to discuss how technological, regulatory, and institutional barriers to forest carbon offset additionality can be addressed resulting in high-quality projects and greater greenhouse gas emission reductions.
