Pumpkin Harvest (September-November)
Get ready for a day full of fall and farm discoveries! Students will explore the outsides and insides of pumpkins as we learn about their life cycle. We’ll celebrate the harvest in our pumpkin patch, and each participant will select a small pumpkin to take home!
Fur, Feathers, Skin, and Scales: Exploring Animal Coverings at the Farm (December-January)
Young explorers will discover the different ways animals are covered – and why it matters! Interactive activities and real animal encounters with our goats, sheep, chickens, and ducks-- get up close with the textures, colors, and functions of fur, feathers, skin, and scales.
Introduction to Maple Syruping (February-March)
Step into the woods and discover the magic of maple season! Tollgate offers a fun and interactive look at how maple syrup is made—from tree to table.
Goats: Hooves to Hands (April-June)
Meet our dairy goats and other farm animals up close while learning how animals and humans work together on a farm! Try your hand at milking a goat, learn about pasteurization, and make your own goat milk hand lotion to take home!
